Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill on her blog breaktingthespine 🙂
For this week I picked something really special – one of my favourite books. But how is that possible, if it has not been published yet? Well it has, but there is a new and beautiful edition coming our way and I think it deserves way more attention in general! As it is also the second part of an amazing series and if you haven’t already check out the first part Ruby Red!
The second part is called Sapphire Blue and the new edition is going to be published on on 1st march 2015. If you don’t want to wait, there are many other nice editions here. 😉
Gwen’s life has been a rollercoaster since she discovered she was the Ruby, the final member of the secret time-traveling Circle of Twelve. In between searching through history for the other time-travelers and asking for a bit of their blood (gross!), she’s been trying to figure out what all the mysteries and prophecies surrounding the Circle really mean.
At least Gwen has plenty of help. Her best friend Lesley follows every lead diligently on the Internet. James the ghost teaches Gwen how to fit in at an eighteenth century party. And Xemerius, the gargoyle demon who has been following Gwen since he caught her kissing Gideon in a church, offers advice on everything. Oh, yes. And of course there is Gideon, the Diamond. One minute he’s very warm indeed; the next he’s freezing cold. Gwen’s not sure what’s going on there, but she’s pretty much destined to find out.
Doesn’t the new cover look absolutely amazing? 🙂 I am really tempted to read it in english again, just so I can justify buying the books with these beautiful covers. But it is not only about the covers, it is really an amazing story. It is thrilling, amusing, has a love story and is not going to let you go easily. You’ll be hooked from the first moment – as was I and it is still one of my favourite series.
Have you heard about the Ruby Red Trilogy yet? And what do you think about it? I would really love to know 🙂 I hope your week is going fine so far!
